![]() Our team is complemented by the inclusion of highly talented and entertaining drummer Rodney McNamara. Rod has worked alongside and earned the respect of many top names in the jazz world, attending both domestic and international festivals. Rod's humorous and entertaining contributions belie a great talent and respect for the music, making him the worthy recipient of numerous awards, most notably the 'Best Solo Musician' prize at the 2003 Dixie Days jazz festival in La Havre, France. Ever the showman and perfectionist, it is small wonder that when asked about his inspiration, the name of Buddy Rich is immediately cited, or as Rod calls him" Mr Drums" an expression that would in the opinion of many people easily apply to Rod himself. |
